Halloween CQ Rifle Match Rules

Basic Rules

We have had a couple of questions come up on the match rules. For those new to this match, we follow all traditional safety rules. The 180-degree rule will be in effect; all guns will need to be unloaded; no magazine inserted with a chamber flag inserted until directed to make ready by the stage RO. Scoring will be based on the USPSA Multigun system. All divisions except Warrior will require 2 anywhere or 1 in the alpha zone on all paper targets. Warrior division will require 1 hit anywhere on paper targets. Reactive targets will be required to fall or break.

The stage layout will be fast-paced close stages. We have a few targets at 25-50 yards. There will be no on-the-clock shots longer than that. There will be a bonus gun that is shot off the clock for a maximum of 10 seconds bonus. Expect the round count to be 185 if shooting 2 rounds at paper.

Any rifle you use must be legal under current state and federal laws (i.e., You can’t run a vertical grip on a pistol with a brace. This is just a basic rule to make sure we don’t have any issues continuing to run this match). Suppressors are allowed! Our timers have picked up suppressed rifles in years past and shouldn’t have any issues. Please let your squad RO know when it’s your turn so they can ensure your time is accurate.

If you have questions about your specific rifle or anything else not addressed, please reach out to us.

Division Rules

The division rules are based on country of origin and are described as follows.

  • AMERICAN: any rifle caliber designed and/or commonly adopted here in the United States (i.e., AR platforms, Mini-14, Sig MCX, M1A, etc.) /

  • FOREIGN: any rifle caliber designed and/or commonly adopted anywhere else in the world (i.e., AK platforms, Tavor, Galil, FAL, etc.)

  • PCC: any pistol caliber carbine regardless of origin (i.e., AR9 platforms, P90, Sig MPX, Kriss Vector, etc.)

  • RIMFIRE: all rimfire cartridges regardless of design.

  • WARRIOR: Must be at least .308 based cartridge. Spare ammunition must be carried on the chest. Reloads unless otherwise required in the WSB must come from the chest. If you choose not to carry your spare ammunition on the chest you must carry 20 pounds of additional gear.

  • Optics are not limited in any way. If you want a LVPO and red dot, that’s allowed. We try to keep it open based on current technology advancements. All that said, there won’t be a major advantage to running multiple optics at this match. This is a run what you want match. It’s a great place to run a gun you may love but don’t get a chance to run at a match. Or you can run your most race-ready set up.

Trophies

Trophies will be awarded at the end of the match.
